The RRB (Railway Recruitment Board) has been entrusted with the
responsibility of conducting the recruitment process for the various vacancies in the Indian Railways. All the staff
that is in the railways is divided into gazetted and non gazetted employees. The
gazetted staff come under the Groups A and B, whereas, the non gazetted staff
comes under the Groups C and D.
The recruitment of the Group - A
vacancies are done through the medium of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The
Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is responsible for the
recruitment of efficient and suitable personnel for
the vacancies related to the posts of Group – C and
Group – D. This recruitment is done through the 20
RRBs which are spread throughout the country in various locations. RRB has
notified about the recruitments
for various types of paramedical vacancies at
different locations.

RRB has issued notifications about the
recruitment process that it is going to conduct for
the selection of suitable candidates for various
vacancies associated with the different posts at
varied levels.
RRB has invited applications from the
candidates who are completely eligible and are highly interested in applying for
the positions that have arisen in the Indian Railways. The notified
vacancies are for the various paramedical posts in
various departments of the Indian Railways and there are 20 different
paramedical posts for which the recruitment process is
being held.
The total number of
vacancies which are encompassed by these 20
paramedical posts is 825. The division of vacancies
and the various pay scales on the
basis of the various posts available in advertisement.
The reservations of
vacancies for the candidates belonging to the reserved
categories would be as per the instructions of the government and the RRB.

Eligibility
Criteria
There are various age limits that are related to the varous posts that have
been advertised by the RRB. The
minimum age limit and the maximum age limit for all the
vacancies on a combined basis is 18 years and 35 years
respectively. Upper age limit relaxations for the
vacancies have been provided to reservation category
candidates as per the instructions of the government.
The candidates should be 12th pass and should
have diploma or degree or post graduation degree in the relevant field for which
they want to apply.

The initially shortlisted candidates will be
going through a written test. The
qualifying candidates will have to appear for an interview and document verification process for final
selection decision.
The application form needs to be filled as per the prescribed
format and the required documents should be attached along with it. These
documents are to be sent to the regional RRB, whichever is convenient for the
candidates and it should reach before the date 12th November 2012.
